Weekly Weigh-in

So this week has been a crazy, busy week. Sorry about not making a post all week! This is going to be a long one to make up for it!

Let’s start with my weigh-in this week! I really wasn’t expecting too great of a number because this has been a crazy week for me (more on that later). I knew that I wasn’t going to gain weight, but I didn’t necessarily think that I had lost weight either. So when I stepped on the scale this morning and saw this number, I was pretty excited. 230.8! I lost 3.2 pounds this week! Only .8 away from having lost 20 pounds! Also, my BMI is now 39.6, which brings me out of the morbidly obese category into just obese. Small victories!!

Today, I awarded my weight loss with a little bit of a cheat day. I didn’t go crazy, but went over my points just a little. I only went over 3 points. My husband and I went to see a movie this afternoon. West of Memphis. It’s kind of a close to home movie, since we live in Jonesboro, AR. It’s only about an hour from West Memphis. It was a really good documentary. Very thought provoking. I remember the day that the West Memphis Three were released, here in Jonesboro, and the massive crowds of people downtown to support them. As part of my reward day today I did let myself eat some of my husband’s popcorn during the movie. =P

I didn’t let get much exercise this week unfortunately. I have a good friend getting married next weekend (April 20th) and I spent the first half of the week planning her bachelorette party that was supposed to be on Friday. I’m photographing the wedding, and another good friend is officiating, so we have been pretty involved in the wedding planning, too. Unfortunately, her future mother-in-law was admitted to the hospital on Friday morning. She had had a sore throat the last few days and it had turned into septic pneumonia, which turned into sepsis soon after being admitted. She died last night at about 11:30 pm. I wasn’t sure if I was going to include this in my blog or not. It’s very sad, and doesn’t have anything to do with my weight-loss journey. I decided to include it because it has affected me. I didn’t know this woman very well, but she was a very nice woman and my friend was really close to her. This is supposed to be such a happy time in their lives, but it’s now forever marred by such a tragic event. I can’t even imagine what my friend and her fiance are going through. They have decided to postpone the wedding for now. 

Despite this crazy week and getting no “real” exercise in, I did work about 50 hours this week and still earned 10 activity points. I had 33 leftover weekly points that I didn’t touch, in addition to not touching any activity points. I only went over my calorie goal one day.

My goals for the coming week are to continue eating good, exercise at least 3 times, and start the 100 push-up challenge.
